Museums with Free Entrance

The Larnaca District Archaeological Museum contains an extensive assortment of archaeological discoveries from the entire Larnaka district, encompassing artifacts from the ancient city-kingdom of Kition, as well as the major Neolithic settlements of Choirokitia and Tenta - Kalavasos.

Situated in the heart of Larnaca, the Medical Museum of Kyriazi is housed within a charming 1927 mansion. This museum offers a captivating journey through the medical, healing, and health history of Cyprus, tracing its profound ties to antiquity, the Middle Ages, and the Ottoman period. From artifacts dating back to Ancient Roman times to those from the 1980s, the exhibits encompass a wide temporal range. The primary collection focuses on the era spanning from 1850 to 1950 AD.

Situated at the beginning of the Foinikoudes promenade on Europe Square, you'll find the Municipal Historical Archives - Museum of Larnaca. These establishments are part of the Municipal Cultural Centre, housed within the beautifully restored 1881 British Colonial buildings, which received the prestigious 'Europa Nostra' award in 1996 for their remarkable restoration efforts.
