Situated at the beginning of the Foinikoudes promenade on Europe Square, you'll find the Municipal Historical Archives - Museum of Larnaca. These establishments are part of the Municipal Cultural Centre, housed within the beautifully restored 1881 British Colonial buildings, which received the prestigious 'Europa Nostra' award in 1996 for their remarkable restoration efforts.

On the ground floor of the restored residence and offices of the first colonial Port Master of Larnaca, you can explore the Museum of Larnaca. It offers intriguing exhibits that delve into the history of the city. Among the fascinating displays is a substantial collection of coins from the city-kingdom of Kition dating back to the late 6th century, as well as a captivating array of photographs capturing Larnaca's transformation from 1850 onwards.

On the second floor, you'll find the Municipal Historical Archives, a treasure trove of rare books, documents, and articles. However, access to this valuable archive is reserved solely for researchers and scholars seeking to delve into the city's historical records.
